This is primarily a review of the Britannia.....P&O's latest and largest cruise ship. Personally I think they missed a few opportunities when designing this vessel and it just doesn't compare to other P&O or most American ships. Firstly, the cruise, food and staff were fine. It was just the ship that didn't live up to expectations - no 'wow' factor. Here are the negatives:

1. No staircase in the central atrium, meaning the wait for the already slow lifts, (elevators) was unbearable. The best alternative was to walk to the front or back of the ship if you wanted any chance of getting a timely lift that wasn't already full be the time it reached your deck.

2. The main restaurants, have no ambience, mainly because of low ceilings and compartmentalised layout.
