Having cruised from Barbados every year for about 10 years, mainly with P&O and Princess we were a little apprehensive about the Thompson Discovery, however the itinery was second to none with only 2 sea days in 2 weeks so we took a chance, and boy did it pay off!!

The new Dreamliner used to make the return journey to and from Barbados was very well appointed and comfortable on the way out but as with all seats (in our price bracket) they were not quite comfortable enough for a good nights sleep on the return journey.

The USP as far as we are concerned was the customer service. From the cleaners to the captain every member of staff we met was making it their goal that every customer felt special and had the best holiday possible. Just a few of these were Waiters – Jhonus, Bengie, Jordan and Bryan, Restaurant receptionist Snezana and the best head waiters I have seen Kenan and Mimi, and Social Hostess Rebecca, All the reception staff (that’s a first) and a special thanks to Captain Jason Ikiadis who conducted a marriage Blessing for us on the bridge.
