This was our 4th year in a row on the Eclipse in the late Nov. mid Dec. time frame. The first 3 cruises were 14 days and this was a 10 day. We love the Eclipse and it is one of our favorite ships. However this year the energy on board seemed low. We think much of this could be attributed to Eddy Jenkins the Cruise Director and Jane the Activity Director. After experiencing Richard Spacey last year and Ben Powtey the two previous years along with Martin the Activity Director, Eddy was lackluster and somewhat boring. Didn't see much from Jane either when comparing her to Martin. We were joined by 5 other couples on this cruise and some had sailed with us on the Eclipse previously and they felt the lack of energy could also be attributed to Eddy and Jane. Time to bring back Richard Spacey or Ben Powtey, plus Martin!!!!!

We had excellent service in the Main dinning room from Lawrence our head waiter and assistant Santiago. However we feel from previous years the quality of the food had declined somewhat and believe it's time to update the menu with more interesting dishes.

Our cabin steward Silvestre did a good job once he understood our routine after the first day. Kind of miss the towel animals we had the last two years. Read more
