Sail Date: Dec 2016

We chose this cruise because of the departure port and the ports visited. We have sailed several other cruise lines and have decided that unless there was a specific itinerary, NCL would not be our #1 choice. Too much of the ship's space is taken up by specialty restaurants. The rest of the public areas are centered around the open atrium making it very noisy and hard to enjoy 1 place without lots of background noise from the floor above or below. I was very surprised at the lack of waiters poolside to offer drinks, and the total absence of a daily tropical drink special. Each drink was $15 in an 8 oz plastic cup. Entertainment was really poor. (We traveled on NCL in Hawaii and looked forward to the entertainment at night...it was that good ).

The ports were fun! Costa Maya has a water park which we did. The Dawn was the only part so we basically had the park to ourselves...no waiting. There are many zip lines, slides and a quiet pool.

Our day at the private island at Belize Cay was ruined by the rain, but it had everything you would need for a fabulous day.
