I really did not do my homework before going on my cruise. This was my first time ever going. We had a great time; however, there were some things that I wished that I would have known ahead of time. First, we booked an interior room with myself, my husband and son in the room. Only because my son is 11 years do I think that the amount of space that we had worked out. Second, there is only one plug outlet in the entire stateroom which made us have to take turns using it to charge our cell phones, hot curl my hair, my husband needed to use his electric razor so we had to take turns using it then also. Speaking of cell phones I specifically asked my carrier Metro PCS if we would be able to use the phone in international waters and I was assured that I would be able to. Not the case, well sorta. When we docked I was able to send text messages back home not actually call anyone. Back to the room, we stayed in stateroom U106 and I just have to assume that must have been the child-friendly end of the ship because I had children constantly playing outside bumping on the walls and running into my door. Finally, I had to call guest services because I could not get any sleep because of the noise. Oh and the reason that I mentioned the stateroom number is because that room was so cold that we had to sleep in the bathrobes that they provided, and we had them to bring extra blankets. One night it was so cold that my husband slept fully clothed with his sneakers on.

We opted for the early dining 6 p.m. the food I must admit was just okay. I think that the food on the lido deck tasted better and you got to eat quicker. One night for dinner we waited an hour before the entree finally came, we filled up on appetizers. We did not opt for the beverage program, therefore, we were only able to drink tap water, bad lemonade, and unsweetened tea. I guess what made the trip so enjoyable is the family members that I came with.

Overall it was a good trip I just wish that I had a little bit more knowledge about cruising first.
