Usually do this cruise to celebrate our anniversary yearly. Also it is heavily discounted due to the time of the year. Met very nice people -mostly seniors. Saw one child and a few younger couples. We like having the indoor pool although it seems to be cooler each year. Since we are Elite Plus we get a very nice assortment of free perks from Celebrity. Had 2 cabins this time which was very nice.

Embarkation was smooth- my husband uses a cane and they got us on the boat quickly. Even the service in the Grill was quick and efficient. Our cabin was ready at 1pm and our steward was professional and attentive. Did not care for the production shows but enjoyed the Billy Joel show and Gareth Oliver who we have seen before. Skipped the pool games but did enjoy the musicians on board in their various locations.. Thought the Glass Auction was fun.

Went to Cockelshell Beach on a Celebrity t tour in St Kitts. Lovely beach-take the early tour- fewer people. Great Spice Mill restaurant there. Trip tp beach in Barbados failed- we returned to ship and got a refund and credit for future cruises. Twin Island excursions in St Marteen does a nice shop and beach tpur to French side. Orient beach is lovely and clothing optional part is a walk down the beach so if you don't want to see or participate you wont have to.. Everyone makes a big deal about nothing-Americans are such prudes and provincial sometimes. Murano Rest was very nice- book early. Sushi on 5 was also very good. Spa res.t has much nicer assortments but needs more tables. All in all a very nice boat. Never got an email for the meet and great so missed it if it happened.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 1C

Cabin 1C

Good location forward of front elevators. Couch is near the slider. We also had 8137-bed near slider. Not possible to tell from schematic if doors were next to each other in the alcove of two doors- would have been a bit more conventient. We opend the balcony partition and went back and forth that way. Would like a cord in shower to hang bathing suits. Hair products ok. Had to ask for qtips. There is now one steward who has fewer rooms. Noise issue settled quickly by ship security.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We fly in the day before and stay at the Embassy Suites on 17th street. Comfortable rooms ,free happy hour and free breakfast make this a good choice.

St. Thomas

St Thomas is fun for shopping and trips to Magens Bay or Coki Beach and Seaworld.
