We chose this cruise because we wanted to get away for a few days and because it was reasonably priced and included the open bar. It was a good time with lots of music and dancing! The ship shows its age but it was very smooth and you could hardly feel the ocean. Last year we cruised on Royal Carribean's Aalure of the Seas and it rocked back and forth the entire cruise! I would recommend this cruise for first timers to try and see if cruising is for them, just don't expect the best service, you pretty much get what you pay for. The buffet was ok, but the main dining room service left a lot to be desired. We tried both the Palace and The Crossings and we're not very impressed with either. The food was fine, service was just very, very slow. One meal took us almost 2 hours. We actually really liked the laid back atmosphere of Norwegian and booked a cruise next year on the Norwegain Getaway. as far as the ports go, we didn't really care for Grand Bahama Island, but with some exploring really enjoyed Paradise Island in Nassau. Also, Princess Cay was really nice and we loved it.
The cabin was fine, people complain that they can't move in the small inside cabins, but honestly it had plenty of room to sleep and shower. I guess if you plan on spending your cruise in your cabin I would recommend a bigger space, but it really was fine!
I have never cared for this island. Nothing like looking at an industrial complex and old tankers across the harbor from the ship.
We explored the island and spent the whole day off the ship. Did some shopping, relaxed on the beach, it was a great day! I would recommend heading to Paradise island for at least part of your day here!
We really enjoyed the island and loved the atmosphere. Lots of stuff to do!
