We booked a 7 night cruise on Adventure of the Seas to the Southern Caribbean to celebrate my youngest daughter's high school graduation.  This is something we started four years ago when my oldest daughter graduated from high school.  Several family members were traveling with us so we asked for six cabins together and we got them.  There were a total of 13 in our party. Getting on the ship was breeze for all 13 of us.  We taxied straight to the ship ($7 a person about) and in less than an hour we were in our stateroom.  In no time our stateroom attendant was there to introduce himself and explain the "lay of the land."  We did not have our luggage in time for dinner but we were told to go to dinner in our travel clothes which was nice for the first night.  Our luggage was in our room when we came back from dinner at 7:30.

We flew directly into San Juan and boarded the ship.  We did not stay in a hotel in San Juan but my sisters did go into Old San Juan for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it.  I spoke to someone on our plane that spent a few days in San Juan and they were planning to return when they could stay longer.

We immediately fell in love with the ship Adventure of the Seas.  It is HUGE and quite beautiful.  We did not have a bad experience the entire time.  Like I said, we had six cabins and Peter was our stateroom attendant.  He was incredible.  Our room was immaculate the entire time.  We needed an extension cord and he had it in our room by the time we returned from dinner the first night.  Our waiter, Gede, learned our tastes and desires and had things we preferred on our table as soon as we were seated.  Gede and our assistant waiters knew our names after the first night and called us by name everytime we came into the dining room.  They had our drinks of choice, diet coke, coke, sprite, tea, and decaf coffee, on the table immediately.  My husband and I also celebrated our 26th anniversary on this cruise and the head waiter brought us a special dessert that night and they all sang to us. They also brought my youngest daughter a special dessert one night and recognized her as she celebrated her graduation from high school.  We even ran into both Peter and Gede on different parts of the ship and in one port and they spoke to all of us by name.  The service on this ship was absolutely amazing!!! Peter made the most adorable towel animals...all six cabins had a different animal every night.

Cabin Review

We had no complaints on our cabin.  Actually, this was the best cruise shower on any of our cruises we've taken!
