We started with Carnival and tried others. We loved being back on Carnival because there is so much more to do, especially trivia, which some of us love. The food was excellent in the Restaurant and some of us loved the burgers and Chinese on the Lido deck. Baltimore is very easy for us in Philadelphia. Just under 2 hour drive, easy parking and on the Ship. Embarkation had lines, but was relatively easy. Disembarkation was very easy because we were not in a rush. We just waited in the Lido until towards the end. Service is always great. This was our first Christmas Cruise and it took all the stress out of Christmas. We agreed to no presents, the Cruise was our collective present. The only tricky part was the weather. We really did not get good weather until the Bahamas. Luckily, most of us do not lounge in the sun, but it would have been nicer to be warmer for more than two days.
Was a balcony, not sure what category (never did understand the categories). It was a typical small balcony but good. My only complaint was that we could not hear the announcements in our room.
Just walked through the Market and bought some T-shirts.
Did not do an excursion, but did take the shuttle to Ron Jons, The Shuttle now costs $13 round trip (not free). Ron Jons was just OK and we took a stroll to look at the beach and ocean. The water was cold.
Did not take an excursion, but did walk through the Market and stopped at a coffee shop to use their WiFi.
Easy port for us to get to from Philadelphia. Parking is supper easy and close by.
