We are family of 5, mom , dad and 3 kids. We loved the Family Harbor, specifically the lounge with breakfast, etc. We were in room 2422 and did not have a problem with noise. There was a bang or 2 about 1-2x a day, but nothing that lasted very long. The room size was doable for us, as long as we kept things off the floor. Also we moved the coffee table under the desk and used it for shoes. Didn't realize that there were drawers under the sofa bed until the last day...that would have been handy.
Now the rest.... Lines, lines everywhere. The skyride, ropes course and slides were closed (for safety reasons) often and lines were crazy when they were open. Carnival needs to find a way to add more safety when winds are higher or take them down all together..because when you pick a ship based on kids rides and then they can't use them...its false advertising.
Lines for food that is not in the dinning room are crazy long, Lido, the salad station on Serenety, guys, pizza...all of it. Food quality was soso. Guys, and Pizza were great. Lido is ok..and dinning room was ok. Dinning room consistantly over cooked meat...I like med/well, learned quickly to order med..and still would get well done. I like a sit down meal..but 3-4 nights I ate with only 1 or 2 of my family because the others didn't like the menu...and I have good eaters not toddlers (17, 15,and 9). YTD was fine. I didn't love it, I like the early dinning seating. But it wasn't too bad...had some of the same wait staff for a few nights. But no one really got to know us enough to anticipate our likes and dislikes, which I really missed from past cruise staff.
With 5 people it was good. We moved the coffee table under the desk and used it for shoe storage. Note, there are drawers under the sofa bed...wish we would have known this. Noise was not an issue for us. We did hear a bang or 2 about once or twice a day..but it never lasted long. No more noise than any other cabin, if you ask me.
