This was my third time on the Summit in 2 years. I like the Summit's small size.

Cabin: When I cruise, I only require a window. This time we booked "Guarantee Balcony" about 3 weeks prior to sailing. there were 4 of us requesting 2 cabins. With "guarantee" you know that you will get a balcony, but can be upgraded. One cabin, #7137 was perfectly located between forward and aft and top and bottom. Our cabin, #9158 was a family veranda in the very back of the ship. Huge. The main portion of the stateroom was slightly smaller and had less mirrors than the standard balcony stateroom. There is a sliding door that opens to reveal another room with a table and 2 sofa beds. The balcony was huge (almost the size of the other 2 rooms put together) with a teak table, 4 chairs, 1 lounge chair and 2 reclining chairs with ottomans. We were in the very back. Our cabin steward, Jesse was great, always smiling and greeting us by name. Celebrity has done away with assistant cabin stewards. Jesse worked alone.

Dining: Originally we booked Select Dining where you eat whenever you want. We went at 6:15 the first night. Our service was wonderful and every night we reserved the same table at the same time. Kris and Zainal knew our names and preferences immediately. My last Summit cruise in April 2016, I had horrible service at dinner. Huge improvement. Read more
