This cruise was a Christmas gift and an opportunity for my husband to cruise this ship to see if it was a viable option for cruising out of Bayonne again since the Explorer of the Seas left. Embarkation overall confusing even though I cruised this ship in March.

We had a balcony cabin on deck 12. Set up in rooms is the best part of this cruise.ship. I felt decor in elevator's tackie as well as some art work thru out hallways. We had classic dinning in the Grande at 5:30 lack of large tables which we had asked to be seated at. Had Deccy-Waiter, Edgar-Asst Waiter were efficient and accommodating. Food was adequate but some items not cooked properly, almost broke tooth on Pork tacos, must have been a bone. Dinner menus changed nightly, basicly same menu items as other ships. We did Jamies, lamb chops, great, penne carbonaro, not so great. Service for breakfast and lunch in main dining room same menu every day, service lacking, food not cooked, slow and cold. Told people, but they said not their job to fix it, My question, how do you get problems resolved a point of problem. Quest servcies a joke as well as LA. Only 1 person working GS during disembarkation. LA charged us for Galley tour last night and sent us to wrong location for tour, and we were not on list. Husband called GS, they said it would be corrected and a corrected bill put outside cabin before departure. Didn't happen. I went to GS they only had 1 person working, had to go over problem again with lady to get charge removed. Natalie King (LA) was never at desk as times GS said she should be. Went back 2 times gave up. Another 2 hours of vacation time wasted. Wow bands are great but to stand in line half hour to get one, not so great. All the shows were ok, but Spectra show just a upgraded version of ships singers and dancers varity shows of the past.. We were so happy to see the ONE LOVE Jamaican band back. Lack of activities overall. Seaplex overused, Spills and vomit not cleaned up timely in public areas, restrooms, etc. No one would take responsibility for anything. To get from one end of ship to other difficult due to sales on deck 4 blocking walk ways, deck 5 blocked by bionic bar, etc. Windjammer - Floors very slippery, even with sneakers, Lack of service, and food temp, no one getting drinks for you, had to fight off waiter trying to take food dish before I was finished. To sum it up Coco Cay and Blue Lagoon shore excursions along with listening to ONE LOVE again, cabin attendant, Andy, concierge Deck 12, the best parts of cruise. Would not book Anthem again. We did book a future cruise while on board, the paperwork they gave us did not match the (3) they sent to home email did not match. Called Customer Service today, regarding issues, they could not help, their words, you must get all problems resolved while on board before you leave, no kidding. We were suppose to spend our vacation time, waiting in line up to an hour to get problems resolved that should not have been problems or issues to start with. Loyal to Royal until they tell me that it is my fault I didn't get problems solved while on board.

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Decor and storage layout great. Bed hard, and stiff pillows, cabin attendant took care of this issues right away. Great job done by Andy throughout cruise.
