NCL knows how to treat solo travellers

Review for the Eastern Caribbean Cruise on Norwegian Escape
Our own Studio lounge for those who cruise solo. You do not have to stay in the Studio cabins to use the Studio lounge. Your key card will be programmed to enter the Studio area.
There is a wine vendor in the studio lounge. BUT IT ISN'T FREE. Gotta pay.
Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville where you can have a buffet breakfast (limited food at breakfast). For lunch there is a fee

This is my 3rd NCL cruise, 2nd staying in the Studio (cabins made for solo travellers). And I love it! I have cruised other lines before (Princess, RCL, Celebrity, Costa & Holland America) but they do not know how to cater to solos (a few cruises have tried). Even Norwegian Dawn (which does not have Studios because Norwegian’s Epic built in 2010 was the first ship to have cabins for one person) we solos were very well taken care of.

Escape is a big ship. Therefore it is noisy especially with loud music. I love the Waterfront (Deck 8) where I “escaped” from the loudness. What a beautiful idea to make good use of deck space known as the Waterfront, has comfortable seating. One side is a bar called “The Cellars” that mostly serves wine or drinks made from wine. The other side is “5’o clock somewhere bar” serving a variety of drinks. The restaurants on this deck have seating for outside dining.

As I mentioned I’m a solo traveller so Escape has about 82 rooms designed for us solos. And yes, we are spoiled and it’s high time a cruise line has finally acknowledged those of us who like to travel alone. We have our own lounge area where we meet for drinks at 6:00 and decide who’s going out for dinner. Also we have our own activities director. How neat is that!!
