I took my niece on this cruise for her 16th birthday.  This was her first cruise...EMBARKATION: This was my first time taking a cruise out of New Orleans, but not the first time I have visited New Orleans. The scene was somewhat chaotic with people catching cabs to leave, and people arriving at the cruise port. We had trouble finding someone to check our luggage prior to entering the building. Fifteen to twenty minutes later we were on our way in. Check in was easy, quickly entered the waiting area to board the ship. We did the traditional pre-boarding photo and couldn't find anyone to obtain a boarding number. Finally we were able to find someone and we obtained boarding card number 4. We noticed the people that were in front of us had boarding card number 2. Not sure how they managed this, but the wait wasn't too bad and we were on the ship by about 12:00.We had lunch in the buffet, food was OK. I was traveling with a 16 year old who is a very picky eater, but she managed to find things that she liked

CABIN: We had an inside cabin on the Verandah deck, as I suspected, we spent very little time in the room. Location was excellent, easy access to the pool, buffet, dining rooms, everything. Unfortunately we had a cabin next to someone with several children and they let them run wild through the hallways all hours of the day and night. Screaming, pulling door handles, etc. I realize this is their vacation too, however, I do not feel people should allow their children to "run wild". If we had spent more time in the room, I probably would have complained.

CLUB02: The 16 year old really enjoyed Club02. She couldn't say enough about it. She met so many new friends and is still e-mailing and texting them today! She said Alyssa was fantastic. This was her first cruise, and I am SO happy she enjoyed it.

Cabin Review

Cabin 4F

Inside cabins on Verandah deck, excellent location.  Close proximity to pool, buffet, dining rooms, shops, etc.  Having an inside cabin on Verandah deck is like having your own deck.  You are just a few steps from the outside!
