We chose this cruiseline based on others reviews. It was a great choice. Although the cost was considerably higher this is a once in a lifetime cruise for us so we chose to spend the extra. There were other choices but I still feel we made the right decision.

The service was outstanding with a crew that exceeded all expectations. The captain was always at the gangway ready to greet passengers fro the day of embarkation and every day as we returned from excursions. On embarkations every woman was handed a rose and we were greeted by the captain, cool towels for refreshing, and champagne. A butler escorted us to our cabin.

The first evening dinner was a buffet but then we set sail on the river for a beautiful evening cruise around Budapest which is a gorgeous evening sight! At the end of the little evening cruise we re-docked across from Parliament which is one of the most beautiful building in Budapest.

Cabin Review

We chose a low deck cabin with just a window. It was small as we expected but it was comfortable. There is so little time spent in the cabin that we felt this type of cabin met our needs and I am was not disappointed. It was indeed, terribly small and did not even have a chair for comfortable seating. That was my one complaint about the cabin. You had to perch on the edge of the bed to watch television in the evening or use the in room computer. Also as a note that when you are docked, even if you have a balcony room there were ports where your balcony looked into the balcony of a ship docked next to you. If you were portside... you may be looking at a wall .... Not a huge deal however since when you are docked you are most likely out on an excursion or other adventure. In some ports if your cabin faced starboard you could possibly have an incredible view. Based on the extra cost for a balcony I did not feel it was worth it and was glad that we chose the cabin we did.
