Sail Date: Dec 2016

We had done a Viking River Cruise and decided to try to Ocean Cruise.

Pros: the ship is beautiful, the public spaces were NEVER crowded, there were chairs by the pools, there were areas with many books, games and even some museum pieces, The staff were always friendly. the dining rooms were never crowed. The organization for the excursions was extremely well done (a carryover from the River cruises?) the process of getting on and off was easy and fast. The two specialty dining rooms were AMAZING! The food at the Chef's table was incredibly interesting and really tasty. It is a set menu and on two of the occasions that we went there was one item that we were not crazy about, but the rest was really really good. The waitstaff was knowledgeable and very attentive. Making a revising reservation on board was easy.

Cons: the staff need a lot more training.

Cabin Review

We had a standard balcony cabin. It was adequate, but the drawer space was very limited. Shower was forceful and hot, the balcony was reasonable, the bed was very comfortable. We joked that there were many places in the cabin that we one way streets. There was NO room at the foot of the bed, nor was there room by the closet (which was quite large). Since we do not spend copious amounts of time in the room it was quite adequate.
