We did the Costco wine cruise to the Caribbean on December 4th. My wife and I enjoyed the cruise immensely. What made this cruise special was the fact that we met many interesting and friendly fellow cruisers. The entertainment and weather was outstanding. The food was good and the wine tasting we got from Costco was also most enjoyable. The Celebrity staff on the Silhouette were exemplary and treated us extremely well. Our room steward was attentive and most helpful. Our Cabin was directly above the theater on deck 6 and we were not disturbed by any noise from the theater at all. This may have been due to the fact that we went back to our cabin fairly late in the evening when all the shows were over. Our shore excursions were also excellent, however we did not use any of the ship's excursions, but purchased them privately instead. The only problem we had was on disembarking. We had a 9.15am flight out of Fort Lauderdale so we had to get off the ship and to the airport ASAP. I had specifically called the guest relations desk on the ship and explained this necessity to them. However there was absolute chaos on the ship that day. Everybody descended to the disembarkation area and although we made our flight, it was very badly organized by Celebrity. A very stressful time could have been avoided through better planning and organization.
We did not take an excursion in San Juan and walked around the old town.
