Grand Cayman is one of my favorite ports of call.  The beautiful water and colorful building gives it a wonderful caribbean feel.We took the Turtle Farm, Hell and Stingray City tour and we had a wonderful time.  My kids thoroughly enjoyed it.  My husband and I had taken this excursion back in 2000 and we had even more fun this time.  I really like the newer turtle farm it was really nice. 


Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Our second stop in Belize was our first time to this port.  The shopping was ok and there were quite a few shops to go through at the dock.  We were advised not to go beyond the gates unless you have booked an excursion.  Next time I visit this port, I will book an excursion, we probably only spent 1 1/2 hours in port to shop and headed back to ship.  Waters were pretty murky due to heavy rain prior to the day we had gotten there.


Belize City

Not one of my favorite ports.  Very little shopping and we had to walk about 1 mile to a store that Carnival approved of.  The kids were a little uneasy about going outside of the gates, however it was an eye opener for them to see the poverty (this was on the way to one of the stores that Carnival had marked as approved), the store was not very impressive...I expected a little more.  We did have several in our group that did excursions in this port.  They loved it, so the next time I go back we will skip the shopping and just do an excursion). 


Roatan

Cabin was a standard cabin, air conditioning was horrible.  We had it set on the coldest setting and it was still warm in our cabin.Room steward was horrible!  On most days left our cabin by 8:30 or 9:00 and would return at 12:30 or 1:00 and rooms were still not cleaned.

I was so excited when we booked this cruise and especially myself because this was my kids first cruise, but after the poor service and having to deal with the rude staff and them being less than accomodating to our group to almost doesn't make it worth booking another one through Carnival.The children attended camp carnival on Tuesday night and the poor 8 year old felt extremely uncomfortable, so they did not return.
