I enjoy cruising and have cruised many of Carnival's lines and I have to say while this was not my favorite, it was still a pretty great ship. I loved the serenity deck and wished I spent more time up there. I got around to going up on the very last day of our cruise.
The food was not my favorite. It was just okay. I've been on other cruises where I truly couldn't get enough of the food.
I mainly had a love affair with the casino where I quickly picked up loads of points and got to the free drink status..."about that"... there's always a catch. You can only get one drink every 15 minutes and they have to water shots down with ice. I didn't like that. You can buy a shot but you can't be served a free shot?? On a lighter note, I made a lot of friends in the casino. The games are lots of fun! I would suggest if you do not gamble stay out of the casino! I wished they had a no smoking policy also, the cigarette smoke gave me a sore throat and a head ache!
We had to move cabins 3 times. The first one was near the casino and we smelled cigarette smoke; the 2nd cabin was unfortunately worse and we smelled sewage; the 3rd cabin was fine as interior cabins are I guess. Always too small for me, but I will say there was plenty of space for storage!
We went to a beach that cost $5 to get into. Not much action, just a beach.
We just walked around the shops.
The beaches and the water there was fantastic! Watch out for the rocks, but the water was so clear and blue and beautiful! Plenty of beach chairs for everyone, great shopping and a beachside bar & grill to finish the day. The drinks were great and the food was good. A bit pricey, but worth it.
Shopping was fun and we got our passports stamped at one of the booths inside the shopping area.
Just a port... nothing to see here.
