Really, really enjoyed our time on the Rotterdam. The service is fantastic, ship is lovely and quiet and perfect for us. We are not party people so the older crowd suited us fine. We were upgraded to a mid-ship ocean view and the cabins are fantastic. Tons of storage space and quite comfortable for life at sea. We were deck 2 in 2633.

Can't say enough about the helpfulness, attentiveness, friendliness and overall attitude of the great crew. From the room stewards to the dining room staff to just about anyone you came across in the hallways, all were smiling and wonderful. Especially Gede and Ari in the dining room. We actually told ourselves we'd miss them after the cruise ended.

Pool and other amenities were great. Never over-crowded. We also splurged on the Thermal Suite for the cruise ($250 for a couple for the 10 days was a solid value). Loved the mineral pool and thermal chairs. Highly recommend that. Fitness area was just ok.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean-View Stateroom

Cabin DA

Very spacious, clean and extremely comfortable for a cabin on a cruise ship. Bathroom was nice, a TON of closet space were bonuses. The bed was super comfortable and the room stewards very attentive. A highlight of the ship.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Pretty easy port to get on and off. Not much going on around there though.

San Juan

We just walked the town. Not a ton to do if you aren't into shopping. The history is neat and we found a good place for a beverage during a tropical downpour.

St. Maarten

Get away from the port and head to the French side. Terrific food, terrific beaches. Grand Case is beautiful and so is Orient Beach.

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

Not our favorite island. Bassaterre is a bit much to take. We were hoping to do a Rainforest Hike but it ended up cancelled because nobody else signed up. We took the ferry to Nevis instead and found an empty beach to spend the afternoon.

Antigua

We took the city bus (yes, the city bus) which you can find in St. John's about a 10-minute walk from the cruise port. The bus station is right next to the St. John's Markets. Cost $3 for two of us to bus to English Harbour which is beautiful, full of history and some of the best fancy yacht watching you'll find. See out Pigeon Beach over on that side of the island too.

Half Moon Cay

Beach is beautiful and the BBQ lunch pretty solid. Great place to just unwind and take in the view. Water is a bit chilly though in December. Not nearly as warm as the other stops.
