I was in a large group with special needs such as wheelchair/scooter users. It is difficult to accommodate our group on excursions, but our travel agent, who happens to be a double leg amputee scooter user, was able to work with NCL and the ShoreEx staff onboard the ship to make our experience very good. The wheelchair accessible cabins were a little tight, but adequate. The ship is showing some age even though it was recently renovated, but nothing too shabby. Most of the cabin stewards I've had on Royal knew me by name. Our cabin steward on Pride of America never called me by name. He did a fine job of keeping our cabin clean, just nothing personal.
The entertainment was good, It was a nice touch to have a piano player and singers in the main dining room. The evening shows were good, but nothing outstanding.
The food was great. Our group was treated to three of the specialty restaurants during the week. That experience was great. The main dining room was very good. The buffet left something to be desired. It was like a cattle car as most buffets are. Seating was scarce. The food was cold by the time you got seated.
