I was expecting (and paid for) better than average from Royal Caribbean.

Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

I have traveled with RCL since 2005 and I had never (to this point) been disappointed with their food, service, or shipboard experience so I was looking forward to taking my grandchildren (both adults) on the Allure of the Seas. We arrived by air the day before the cruise and stayed at the Lago Mar Resort and Club. This is a fantastic place to overnight before the cruise - right on the Atlantic with their own private beach.

Embarkation went smoothly for such a large ship and we were on the ship in 30 or 40 minutes.

The cabins seemed to be a little less than average size but had enough storage space for both of us (2 ladies - the guys were next door). Our party had connecting staterooms and balconies so we had plenty of room to move around in.

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D5

Room was adequate size with enough storage for both of us. Had to use electric plugs in the room (not the bathroom) for hair dryer, curling iron, etc.
