I've sailed on the Silhouette before, and my experience this time around was also mostly positive. The ship is wonderful, as are the crew. We didn't attend many shows, but Life! was fabulous! I teared up a few times! The cast was very talented, and I commended them on the mid-cruise survey card. We also enjoyed the comedian. We had hoped to attend Pearl, but dinner ran late that night. We heard good things about it. We enjoyed the silent disco very much. The salsa music was a nice addition, although I did miss the 80's channel. We attended a couple of trivia sessions and had a great time.
We were in a suite this time around (we had an Aqua cabin the last time on Silhouette) and suites come with perks such as access to Michael's Club. We found that we just didn't use it. We had one drink there on embarkation day just after Muster drill and we went to tea there one day. We would not go to tea there again - late afternoon is our designated relaxation time in our cabin, and 4 people huddled around an itsy bitsy table in Michael's Club trying to share plates was not my cup of tea. Actually, there was no room for tea on the tables at all. We greatly preferred when the butler brought tea and treats to our cabin and we could R-E-L-A-X. Alone, and not elbow to elbow with other suite passengers. So no tea and scones, which made us sad. but we received canapes delivered some time after the tea in Michael's Club had ended and been cleared. The cheese and cracker plate and the shrimp were the best offerings. Actually, we found the cheeses offered on board to be wonderful all around.
We were traveling with 6 others, and two of them were not in suites. To be fair, that may have had something to do with our lack of interest in being segregated in Michael's Club. We were very conscious of including them. We arranged to dine in Blu one evening and invited them to Luminae a couple of times. Everyone was very accomodating.
Nice cabin with a big balcony, mid-ship near the elevators. Very nice location. Exactly as expected.
