This is the second Alaskan cruise we have taken on Princess. Everything on board the ship was first rate. The entertainment and social activities were superb. We were finally happy to see that on the country dancing night, the band actually played country music throughout the evening. In the past, it was only on the first set. Glad to see that the games were eliminated.

We like the Princess perks, i.e., free specialty dinner, free gratuities and bottle of wine, and we usually book our cruises around these perks. On our next cruise, we are booked in a mini class suite. We're looking forward to seeing if their perks meet our expectations.

Two downsides to the cruise. Firstly, we booked directly with Princess and requested an early dining for a table for two. This is the third Princess cruise we have taken where the ship was not able to accommodate our request. We usually book a year and a half in advance.

The room steward was very good in keeping our cabin clean. We appreciate that he cleaned our room in the morning. He was accommodating to our few requests, and even greeted us when we would see him in the hallway.
