We chose this cruise as we had travelled with Princess before, weve also used Carnival, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean in the past. This is a great ship, the facilities are brilliant but I warn you, do not take this cruise if you are under 55! All of the entertainment is geared around much older passengers, apart from the comedians who were really good. I am 59 myself and the entertainment was well before my era. The Beatles are the nearest thing they do to "modern music". Now im not complaining about this, the ship obviously knows its audience, im just saying that younger people might not enjoy songs from the 30's and 40's and string quartets every night. The worst part of the "entertainment" is at the Crooners Bar where a singer called Perry Grant performs the same act (sometime word for word) 3 times a day, and I mean the routine NEVER changes its the same day in day out. It put us off going to the bar which was a shame as it was a really nice spot for a pre dinner drink and we loved the bar staff "cha cha" charoon and Joanne.

The mini suite was really nice and serviced twice a day. We prefer a table for two and a later dinner so we booked anytime dining. The service is definitely not as good when you go later as you do get the feeling that they want to finish the service and get cleared up. The food is good with lots of choice but we find that the food is not as "special" as it used to be. We went to Sabatinis and the service was excellent as was the food but of course you have to pay extra for this.

Now to the drinks package, if anyone needs to know the bar prices please ask me ive got them all and will be happy to pass them on to you. I think if you drink cocktails and spirits the package is worth the money as you can get any drink which is under $10 so you can also get a small bottle of champagne. It also includes soft drinks and speciality coffees. You can also use this when you are on shore at Princess Keys. The package was $49 per day + 15% gratuity. There is a "happy hour" at 3pm at crooners (happily without Perry Grant) which is buy one get one for $1. This happy hour is also on at 11pm at Club 6 (next to the Casino) every night. The venue sometimes changes but its always in your princess patter.

Cabin Review

Cabin Mini Suite

Sorry cant remember cabin number but it was on the Lido Deck. The room was very nice serviced twice a day. The balcony was very small compared to come ships weve been on.

It had a bath and shower and lots of hanging space.
