Room - very nice..adequate for us. Great huge TV with lots of on- demand movie selections. Small balcony but we rarely used it. Great large basin in bathroom but not enough storage. Guess we have too many toilet articles. Bedding felt very silky but was surprised to find NO top sheet. Guess I could have asked for one but did not. A comforter gets a little hot at night as they are a heavier feel but the silky cotton fabric was wonderful. Four full plump pillows were nice to prop up in bed to read or watch TV.. Lots of high quality hangers and we used every one. Nice storage tower for clothing which was adequate for 10 days. Our Cabin Steward always had our ice bucket full and the room was spotless and well cared for. Liked the fact that Royal Princess had self service laundry on each deck with irons/boards. Never have had that on any other cruise. Must have been a requested item by passengers as this vessel recently came out of dry dock. The bath towels were not as plush as I was hoping for. But we asked for extras and our Room Steward was happy to oblige. He kept asking if there was anything else we needed....and he made up the room just as soon as we left for breakfast at 8 a.m. He must have a camera so he knows when passengers leave their rooms to do this.

Food - Dining room food good-excellent for first five days...then it became more of the same...but still good. The Chef comes up with some of the strangest concoctions. Alfredo's was excellent and the pizza was good as well as Taramisu. We dined there for dinner on two nights when the MDR menu got a little boring. We did have excellent servers in the Concerto DR as well as any other place that we ate. The buffet was not always crowded but to find some foods was a challenge due to all the different walkway areas for food. I had trouble finding waffles. It was a nice set up which controlled the crowd. I liked the fact that there were vessel sinks to wash hands before entering the buffet on Deck 16. I hate the goop of the antibacterial products. My hands always feel sticky when I use it and my hands never really feel clean.

The Vessel - The Royal Princess was stunning. The central Piazza area WOWs you when you go aboard. This cruise was booked full and never felt crowded except when it was time for the evening show. Then we had the seat savers.....there was one employee which we nicknamed the Bulldog....who put a stop to that. She gave people ultimatums......if the seat is not filled in 5 minutes you will have to give it up to someone else....and she stood firm on it by returning and checking. YOU GO GIRL....

Nice cabin which was adequate for our needs. Loved the huge TV with on-demand movie selections. Deck was smaller but we rarely used it. To much other activities going on to sit out on the the deck. At night loved sitting out for a while to enjoy the fantastic ocean breeze and smell of the ocean which seemed to clear the sinuses.
