Have been on serval Hawaii cruises that have departed from L.A. It is a convient port for us and have gone the last Four years on Princess . As a Princess Elite guests we have cruised many times on their ships.

What we found on this particular cruise is the the overall quality of the Princess Cruise experience has been greatly diminished. While dinning room servers were excellent there were many nights where the food choices left a bit to be desired. The alternative menu had steak but not it was replaced with a hamburger. We were told by the Captian Service representatives that customers requested the menu change. If that be the case then the clintel has really declined as evidence by the jeans with holes, flip flop, baseball caps and shorts in the dinning room at dinner. There is no one in staff that is ever at the door to address issues.

On this sailing there were three service dogs on being a pit bull walking around the deck , elevators and jogging with their very buff masters. There was a nightly array of groups of unaccompanied children and teenagers running around the center piazza, Chinning on marble steps, throwing stuff to each other from the three center floors in full view of guests relations. They were running around and playing tag in the elevators. The the motorized scooter brigade was well represented with bigger versions that took up almost the entire elevator. Read more
