This cruise was a return trip to the California Costal cruise. We enjoyed the ports so much last time (we took this same itinerary in 2013) we decided to take this cruise again. We chose Princess due to the outstanding customer service and even a follow up on a Caribbean cruise we took last year

Just some history, back in 2015 we had a cruise that did not meet our typical expectations. I wrote a letter to Princess describing our time aboard the Emerald Princess. Princess customer service took time to call and discuss my comments. They also helped us with our next Princess cruise aboard the Caribbean Princess. Although after our disappointment on the Emerald I commented that we would probably be working with a different cruise line I can say we ended up completing 2 more Princess Cruises. I guess I did not stick to my word :) Although we have taken a few Royal Caribbean cruises as well.

This cruise was nice. Overall the only major issue seems to be the cruise staff. It seems the room staff and dining room staff are way over worked and understaffed. As an example we never actually met our room steward. Typically they stop in the first day and introduce themselves. On this cruise we never met the steward and this is the first time we did not witness the Ninja like skills of refreshing the room within seconds of you stepping out!
