Could not resist a retro cruise on a small ship for the first time in years. Our last three cruise ships all exceeded 150,000 tons, so we thought it would be interesting to once again experience a 7 day on an under 50k ship. Also we were taking DW's sister for her first cruise experience and it seemed right to start her out this way.

It was a good cruise. The price was quite reasonable, the staff was great, and the food was good. Highlight of entertainment was Mr. Jeffrey Allen's Elton John tribute. Singers were good, dancers were very good. Cruise Director Carlos Torres was as good as they come (and a great singer, to boot). One of the two comedians definitely needs a change of career, but the other was good.

This will be the Cuba cruise for RCI starting April 2017. The major lounge, Boleros, and the largely hispanic staff were in line with that (I believe RCI thought they would be commencing Cuba cruises sooner than they actually will).
