My wife and I are in our early 60s and this was our 14th cruise, our 7th on Princess. We chose this cruise to get away from winter. We had been to the ports before, except Montego Bay.

This was our first cruise on the Regal and we enjoyed the ship very much. One complaint though is the lack of stairs above deck 7, as on the Royal, with the center bank of elevators. Our cabin was on deck 8 and we either had to take the elevator to go down one floor or walk to the front or back of the ship to use the stairs. We had the least expensive obstructed view balcony cabin on deck 8 which was fine. No complaints at all and the cabin service was excellent. One thing we noticed right away, after having sailed recently on the Caribbean Princess in an oceanview cabin on deck 8, that this balcony cabin was smaller than the ocean view on the Caribbean. But it was more than adequate for us.

The food and service in the Symphony Dining room were excellent. We chose anytime dining and on the first night we had Edgardo and Zoltan for our excellent waiters. We liked them so much that on subsequent nights we made a reservation and requested a table in their area. Although that is never guaranteed, we were able to have them for our waiters every night thanks to the dining room hostess Dragana. On the last night of the cruise, Edgardo's area was full, but we were seated adjacent to their area and they still served as our waiters. The Maitre'd Snezanna was also very helpful and accomodating. I require a gluten free diet and she was always there with the following night's menu to take my order for the next night to ensure my meal was prepared properly. Great service by all.

A bit smaller than our oceanview on the Caribbean Princess. The tender boats did block the view a bit, but we could still see out pretty well. We could hear them lowering the boats in the morning of the days where we tendered. The cabin was overall very comfortable and service was excellent.
