My husband and I went on this cruise with our two friends and their 15 month old daughter. We had an obstructed ocean view cabin on the Emerald deck, E224. The cabin was small. We had a lifeboat partially obstructing the window, but it was a complimentary upgrade. Our cabin steward, Budi was the best. He was the hardest worker and eager to please. Our cabin was under the back of the Princess Theater so we did have some noise, but not bad.
We had anytime dining. That usually works for us, but with the baby I think a set time would have been better. We made reservations some of the days, but if you called too late the anytime dining reservations would be full. So sometimes we had to wait to get a table. The service in the dining room was overall pretty good but very slow. The ship was sold out and it seemed like there were a lot of people. The food was hit and miss. Some good, some bad. Some food came out cold, but we just sent it back. The servers were eager to satisfy.
We also ate in the buffet many times, mostly for lunch. I found the design of the buffet to be very disorganized. Many people were going through the exits and just jumping in the middle to grab food. I found many passengers to be quite rude.
Small cabin, obstructed by a lifeboat. Good location near the elevators. However we were under the backside of the princess theater so we heard a little noise but it was not bad. The plumbing backed up two times on our trip. We did not put any foreign objects down the toilet so I am not sure why it backed up. But our cabin steward was on top of it.
I wish we stayed longer. Long wait to board tender on the return.
