The itinerary took our eye, plus as a late booking, we got a good deal.Must say we were pleasantly surprised by , not only the ship, but the staff were great, as was the food. We had a superior outside cabin which was really spacious, & the entertainment was fabulous.Never having been big fans of Thomson, this as I said, was a really pleasant surprise. We thoroughly enjoyed our little blast of warmth before Christmas & will certainly look at Thomsons again in future. The only slight downside was that we did have a few showers, not the fault of the cruise company of course!Think next time we head off on a late quickie this time of year, would leave it another 2 or 3 weeks just to make more certain of the weather.Also, the port of la Romana(Dominican Republic), is quite an unpleasant experience & we think should be removed from ports of call for a nicer option.Anyhow, roll on February when we,re off again, back with Fred Olsen this time!
