Let me start out by saying I have cruised on many different Cruise Lines. The NCL Pride of America is from being a pride of anything. Upon entering our balcony room I found a half drank Corona Beer bottle on our balcony with the to table tops out there dirty and spill drink marks on them. All I could say to my wife was welcome aboard. So from the free style dinning that they want you to make reservations for at the included restaurants to the marginal food, terrible I don't give a darn attitude from the crew, and the sloppy up keep of the ship this is our first and last NCL Cruise.

A few highlights of our cruise; We went to dinner the first night at Liberty Restaurant an inclusive dining restaurant asked if we had a reservation said no was told to stand on the side and wait. That was fine but there were seats everywhere in the restaurant. I was then told to remove my hat there were hats being worn in the restaurants. We left and walked to the Cadillac Diner where actually the food was pretty good. Second restaurant try was Skyline we were asked if we had a reservation again another inclusive restaurant. We were seated and waited for 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. We did order and the food was marginal at best and cold. I could never get my drink or my water glass filled as we waited for our server to show up at our table again. Left the Skyline and stopped in the men's room it was trashed and the sign on the back of the door showed the restroom was only cleaned twice all day. Went to the Guest relations desk and asked them to have someone clean the trashed rest room and was told "Someone will get to it" wrong answer. Breakfast at the buffet was not a good experience either the food was cold and it looked old. We decided that the oatmeal was the hottest thing on the buffet so we chose that. As we were eating the guest seated next to us asked us if we had ever cruised NCL before and we stated no. They had and they told us this was the worst cruise they had ever been on and we of course agreed with then. As we talked we agreed that the mostly American crew just doesn't give a flip if they are there or not. The couple we were talking to was from Canada however we are born and raised Americans and we were a bit embarrassed about the crews work ethic. We went on a shore excursion and met a couple from England that said they had been on many NCL cruises and agreed with us that this Pride of America Cruise was the worst they had ever been on for the same reasons as ours and the Canadian couple. It always seemed that the crew no matter where they worked did not care if anyone was having a good time or not. I also want to say the entertainment was just not that good. I will say that the sales people in Na Hoku Jeweler Story were helpful and friendly.

To sum up my review: If you don't care about the crew, food, service or cleanliness and you want to think of the Pride of America as a big water going UBer to take from port to port then try this ship. However if you want the service you should expect for a $5000.00 plus cruise don't take a cruise on The Pride of America. I do want to say that our time spent in Hawaii before and after the cruise, the ports of call and the shore excursions were worth the trip. We look forward to returning again but never on The Pride of America. Now let's see how NCL staff will answer this review because I would love to hear from you and have a real conversation.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BE

Dirty, dusty half empty beer bottle on our balcony when we arrived on the ship. Sticky counters and balcony furniture. I would like to see what kind of gesture NCL will make for an absolutely terrible cruise. Please don't offer us a cruise credit for another cruise because there won't be another cruise on NCL. This is to answer the How many cruises have you been on question below. One NCL 14 other cruise.
