Don't trust the pictures when you book your room make sure it is not a connecting room if that is your thing. I did not want or appreciate the connecting room with no couch and could hear everything neighbors said---- that is so not romantic ! ( Please read below cabin review) Beyond that you can get pass that if you are traveling with a fabulous companion/husband like I had the luck to do. You can also get pass these issues because of the fabulous ports of calls and the immersion into different cultures/experiences. The entertainment on the level I expect 'On Broadway.' Mamma Mia with the best singers and sets... If you book the cruise just to see Jim Davis that would be fine to he is an excellant comedian of the highest caliber I saw him 3 times. He is top dog also that is only if you have a sense of humor. Honestly I don't remember the bands naame in the club Dazzle but they Dazzled me especially on Motown Night.... OMG they are good. I will also confess to liking fine dining and top chefs... Go to 150 in Central Park heck go as many nights as possible. Also Windjammer is good too... I think the cheif in Windjammer needs to run American Icon... My stateroom attendant Sheneez Thomas beautiful lady... she reminded me it was our anniversary with a memorable experience. Also American Icon celebrated our anniversary too we were surprised! it was a lovely moment. She is on point!

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony
When I arrived in the stateroom I was extremely disappointed it was not as described or pictured! There was no couch and there was a connecting door whereas the people next door were talking in normal tones and I could hear every word they said. I felt this romantic trip was destroyed because I knew if I could hear them they could hear me. I was deeply disappointed in royal Caribbean because they could do nothing short of down grading my room to resolve this issue. After I complained to guest services they said they would send security up 'to listen.' So I go back to the cabin wait for security next thing I hear the guest next door saying security said they had a noise report and for them to be quiet... I rushed out of my door and told security to come in my room and he wouldn't I told him to tell the neighbors that I didn't say that! He just went on downstairs.... Anyway they next apologized and offered us an excursion. Now to add insult to injury we are avid horseback riders... The lady for horseback riding made my husband get on her scale and then told him he couldn't ride ---- I'm sorry I didn't read the fine print and I felt my 6 foot 1 husband at 240 pounds was average weight she said her horses don't go over 230 pounds.... Frankly our day revolved around that fat shaming excursion and I think she needs to get horses for larger and taller people... I do appreciate the 25% offer our next cruise but that is only because I pressed the guest services management...
I do have one more issue you guys need to figure out which package virgin beer belongs in.... Some people wanted to charge and some said it was there discretion if they explain the 5% alcohol. I do appreciate guest services removing the one charge. Overall the entertainment was 100%. The friendliness of your crew made you feel you were in your home away from home...
