This was our 2nd time on Summit, 5 years apart. Enjoyed the updated version, new carpet, new optional restaurants, but still not much to do other than the usual shows, casino, etc. The specialty shows in the main theater were very good, both headliners and staff productions. A couple of the headliner shows started at 10:30 pm which was pushing our ability to stay up. Activities like Karaoke also started at 10:30 pm, not appealing to stay up that late. On board Trivia contests were few and far between, a couple were preempted due to private functions using the scheduled space. Evening dining in the main room was perhaps the best part. Head Waiter (Norman) & Waitstaff, Sommelier and support people were great. Menu included a good variety of specials along with the standards. Deserts were outstanding (creme brulee and homemade ice cream +++) Back of the boat buffet was bland for breakfast and lunch. NO variety and the serving staff behind the Pasta Station & Carving Stations acted like they would rather have been someplace else or serving someone else. Our cabin 6088, a mid-ship balcony couldn't have been better. The Cabin Steward, Ansori, was very helpful and attentive. Easy check in and debarkation once they got started. All-in-all, this was a good cruise, decent ports but our 6th to the Caribbean and probably our last. We've pretty much exhausted the area.
