Sail Date: Dec 2016

As a previous cruiser on low budget Carnival ships, I had high (or higher) expectations of this cruise. Let me say that the ship is beautiful, no question about that. The Christmas decorations were beautiful. The upselling is annoying, but probably standard

Embarkation was chaotic and longer than I thought it should have been considering we showed up at the time Royal told us to. It might have been better had we showed up earlier.

We had a mid-ship promenade view cabin (8321) which was perfect. We are both tall people so space was limited, but for the average person it would be more than enough. The bathroom could use a little updating.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Very choatic port

Cozumel

The upselling in Cozumel is annoying, but if you can escape it the beaches are pretty and the food good. Panchos downtown is the best Mexican food I have ever eaten.
