Living in Tampa, Florida, it is easy to do the four hour drive to the Ft. Lauderdale port. I've been on two Celebrity cruises and knew it to be a good quality, adult-oriented experience. My sister and I wanted a week's break from the holiday madness and we got a great price so we signed on.
Pre-cruise info was fine, although sister was annoyed with having to print the 14-page booklet "just to get the luggage tags." I didn't have a problem but perhaps it wasn't clear.
Embarkation was fine although we waited in a long line for a while before we heard the man say Elite members could join a shorter line.
Good size bathroom, everything well organized. Not much closet space and very few drawers. Okay for a cruise ship. Verandah was nice though I don't go out there much.
Walked through Old Town and had great dinner at Hotel El Convento. Fun shopping there too.
Booked on our own. Sailing and snorkeling to see turtles on the Fury with Captain Mike. Great!
Just shopped. Lunched at Chesterfields. Wonderful!
Parked at Gold Coast. Very busy and slow going to get to ship but it was okay. Just leave enough time for issues.
