Decided to take a trip with my best friend. We left San Juan and were only gone for a week but it felt like a month. All the Southern Caribbean islands are beautiful. We have zero complaints at all about our trip, lifetime of memories. I did not want to get off the ship...I mean I really really did not want our trip to end. I could take that trip every year and still have something different and interesting to do. The variety of ports that this ship stopped in far exceeded any of the other cruise destinations we looked at for the Caribbean. The staff was kind, fun to get to know. We met so many people from around the world, I learned about an island off of South Africa I had never heard of. We are already discussing when we will be booking another trip. We have also discussed potentially working on cruise ships as we are nurses!

Embarkation and disembarkation went fine, no issues. We did not explore San Juan prior to leaving mostly because we had been up for 24 hours, but spent time on the beach before flying home, we needed just one more day by the ocean. We were able to walk to a local restaurant that night for dining. The ship was the perfect size, I liked not being with 5000 people as guests, little over 3000 was plenty, maybe I would even prefer less. As an overall whole, the ship's cabins are somewhat outdated, but we didn't care. The food and dining was exceptional, good drinks, interesting people. Our room steward was so sweet and attentive to us the entire time, always the first person we saw and she greeted us with a smile. There is tons of variety for ports and shore excursions, something for everybody and every activity level. If you pay attention you will have zero problem figuring out where to meet up with your group.

I would say base your cruise off of what you consider most important and what you like as an individual. If you are looking for top of the line and everything to be brand new, then maybe this is not the cruise for you. If you are looking to kick back and enjoy yourself and not have to worry about a single thing except for making it back to the ship in time while in port, then I would highly recommend this to anyone. As I said before, we plan to take this trip again!!

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E3

Who doesn't want to wake up every morning and have coffee on the balcony either watching the sunrise or seeing the next port we are stopping in? The interior was slightly dated, but I wasn't on the cruise for the room decor. I would say that our balcony on the 7th deck, port side had a cabbage-esque smell while docked-disappeared when we started moving. Don't know what that smell was from, not sure I care to find out.

San Juan

Enjoyed a little beach time in San Juan but not too much else.
