Sail Date: Dec 2016

December 4th thru the 10th to Amber Cove, Grand Turk, and Nassau.

Flew in from Baltimore the morning of departure. I was in a foul mood for reasons totally unrelated to Carnival, and it got worse when I arrived at the cruise terminal. Outside was completely disorganized---come on Carnival, spend a few bucks for signs to guide people!!!! Inside the terminal the lines were unbelievably long and moving very slowly. After about an hour, something completely changed and I could not believe how fast the check-in line moved after that point. Had a great drink at the Atrium bar. Went to our room and our luggage was already there (before 2:00 PM!!). Start Vacation Mode !! :-)

The Conquest seems to get a lot of grief on this forum, but I had no problems. The room was fine. The steward was great. Yes, some rust was seen on the balcony, but come on folks, the thing has been sitting in salt water for fourteen years!!! Dining room service was great. The food was better than the food on the Victory two years ago. No outrageous lines at the Lido Buffet. The black comedian I saw had folks rolling down the aisles; the other comedian was said to be just as funny. Enjoyed activities on the third and fifth decks. I have no idea why Carnival builds in auditoriums at the bows of the ships; second straight cruise with nothing worth seeing there. There was much less pushing of alcoholic drinks on this ship than on the Victory.

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony Cabin

Regular balcony cabin. I was nervous about a cabin this close to bow the of the ship, but no motion issues were noted. No noises.
