My 6 year old, and 12 year old both had a blast. My 12 year old spent the vast majority of time at The Edge...we rarely saw her. My 6 year old was in love with meeting the princesses, going to the boutique, and swimming in the pool. My nearly 14 month hold, however, only went to the Edge a few times, and was bored the rest of the time. The horrible teens running around the ship, nearly slamming into people, literally falling out of the elevators when the doors opened...they were from The Vibe. I wouldn't sign the paper allowing her to go there. I didn't want her to be a part of all of that.

Embarkation was great. We had a deluxe family veranda suite with concierge service so we were able to get on the ship with no waiting except for security which is expected. The ship is beautiful for sure, but the pools are fairly small. So they filled fast. We had dinner once in The Enchanted Garden which we all kind of felt was out dated. The Royal Palace was beautiful. We ate there twice. We were supposed to eat at the Animator's Pallet but we skipped it. We were just too full...but I was really looking forward to seeing the changing walls. The movie selection looked great, but we never really had time to go because they didn't time the movies well...they cut into dinner, and other things that were happening on board. Like the live shows. Or sleep (starting Moana at 11pm??). They didn't start during the times we were sitting twiddling our thumbs with nothing to do. Service was fine, the concierge was great. I came down with a cold or something starting on day one, and day two the concierge provided my husband when he asked where to find it, with dayquil for free. I went in after and got nyquil so I could sleep better.

The excursion in Nassau we went on was the hour city bus tour and Ardastra Gardens (which is a zoo). While Nassau looks like it has a lot of potentially beautiful areas, the bus tour didn't show much of it, and took us to a little parking lot where there were people waiting to sell stuff. So if you decide to take this excursion, make sure you bring some cash or stay in the bus. The zoo was sad. I honestly hate to say that because it's pretty there, and the kids had fun. The flamingo "show" didn't seem so nice when you realize it's just a guy scaring the birds to run around. Very few animals are in enclosures...the majority are in cages. There was one monkey there, alone, in a large cage. The highlight there though was the feeding of the parrots by hand. They land on your arms and eat apple slices from your hand. If I were to ever go to Nassau again, I'd probably do my own research and figure out where to go based on time there...but most likely I'd stay on the boat. We planned on a glass bottom boat tour in Castaway Cay but the choppy water was too rough and so most (or many) excursions there were canceled including that one. So we just went back to the boat...which ended up being for the better since it poured and there were tons of people in line getting soaked trying to get back on the boat.

Cabin Review

Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah

Cabin 00V

The cabin was great, though when the couch is pulled out, your cut off from your veranda/balcony. We specifically wanted the balcony but never got to use it because the bed had to be pulled out. The best time to use your balcony is first thing in the morning...so that kind of defeated the purpose. The cabin was convenient to the concierge lounge. No sound issues. It was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable, but the pillows were horrible. They really need a coffee maker IN THE ROOM.
