We have sailed with Princess before with our last cruise on the Regal for her inaugural repositioning cruise from Venice to Fort Lauderdale in 2014. We had a brilliant time on that cruise with all the staff being friendly and helpful. We cannot say the same for the Diamond unfortunately.

We were on Aloha deck 12 which was an excellent deck and easy to access Horizons by walking up a flight of stairs and the laundry just opposite cabin 611 which was very convenient. Our steward Eka always greeted us with a smile and was extremely efficient and conscientious. He was great.

The food in the International Room for breakfast was very good and the wait staff most helpful especially the Maitre de and Israel. In the Savoy where we had dinner most nights for Anytime dining, the Maitre De was excellent and always met us with a smile and directed us to a favourite table for two where the wait staff such as Mark and Afid were most solicitous. They took time to have a quick chat in between courses. We could not fault them nor the food which was very good. I occasionally asked for a smaller serve of the mains because at times there was just too much to eat. We loved the Italian theme offerings of scaloppine and cassata and Limon cello.

Aloha Deck is a great deck and we were midship close to the elevators and the stairs for the Horizon buffet.
