My wife reluctantly agreed to this cruise. She worries about sea sickness and hates being cold! No problem. Apart from one night which was slightly rough for about 3 hours, the rest of the trip was virtually like a mill pond. Apart from being out on deck, the ship was warm enough for shirt sleeves and the cabin heating controls worked extremely well.
We booked the inclusive package with Hurtigruten, which included flights from Gatwick to Bergen. The charter airline "Germania", was spot on both ways and although they don't operate a scheduled flight from the UK, if they should do so in the future, Easy Jet beware!
We choose a mini suite, on the "Richard With", which was well worth the extra money. This included a wine/water package for one person, which we found perfectly adequate. The alternative was to buy a bottle of wine, the cheapest being approx.,£45. We did buy some in port for use in the cabin, which was a lot cheaper.
Queen bed with separate (lovely) duvets. Two decent windows. Twin settee and single swivel chair with fixed table. Adequate bathroom/shower. TV. Decent storage. Good heating/air con system.
