We chose the QM2 Caribbean cruise because of the convenience to the port but also from our past experience on this ship two years ago on a cruise to New England & Canada.

This ship is so beautiful and the service is outstanding. Recently refurbished `and for our cruise all beautifully decorated for the Holidays. Embarkation & disembarkation went well. ON disembarkation the luggage hall is a scramble with everyone trying to locate their luggage and it took us quite a while to find a porter but he was very accommodating.

Our stateroom was ready when we boarded and we were greeted by our wonderful Butler Andres & his assistant Glen. They were both professional and respected out privacy etc. We never felt a bump or a roll even with some rough seas and the weather in the ports was wonderful. Mobility challenged people might have a problem with the long walk from the pier when docked to the island but there was some shuttle service at the piers "if" you could catch one!

Cabin Review

Queens Suite

Cabin Q5

Our cabin was mid ship, deck 9 across from the Concierge Lounge. Great location with the Commodore Club forward not such a long walk.

It had a walk in closet plus a coat closet and we had plenty of room for all our clothes.

The bed was extremely comfortable along with an assortment of pillows. The linens were the best soft and smooth. Big flat screen tv with excellent reception. A lounge and two side chairs, coffee table and desk. The vanity out side the bathroom had very, very poor lighting with no magnifying mirror and it was difficult to apply makeup or contacts.

Even once the butler brought me a magnifying mirror the lighting was so awkward and dim it really didn't help.

Also if you put a chair at the vanity it was difficult to get through to the bathroom as you would have to manipulate around the chair and squeeze your way into the bathroom. Water pressure and temperature in shower was excellent. We always had fresh towels and the bath towels are nice and big. Balcony above the life boats was a bit distracting just seeing the tops of the boats but the new chairs with cushions were comfortable. Everything was always kept sparkling clean!!!!!!!
