We're an older couple of 55 years, my husband and I at last minute (about 30days before) booked this cruise wanting to do something "different" for a belated 30yr Anniversary. We wanted to Getaway and FREE style, we didn't want to be dressing up or running to scheduled dinner slots and sitting with people we didn't know and feeling obligated to making small talk ETC.. That's what I liked about this ship and the many port of calls. We just have one adult son and decided he was not going to go with us, though every where on the ship, I thought about him and all the things we could probably enjoy together (I'm not just saying this cause he may be reading this either). The truth is, I had to do some things on my own, since unfortunately, my husband was having to recover from health issues but we felt so grateful being there since we were contemplating to cancel, if he didn't get any better.

I must say this, this is my second time cruising, so I can only compare this cruise with another brand ship, I was not too happy about when water slides were shut down and other avenues (though we weren't going to use it, at that time, my son was little then and he was not able too) it was a pleasant surprise to see "everything" was open and working! But I hear this ship is fairly new and it shows, the only thing, I would say is getting a little beat up is the theater chairs.

Also did not see the constant cleanliness this ship has compared to the other one, with their "washy washy greeting songs" as you come in to eat at the buffet, they'd spray your hands and if they're not there, the some kind of pure gels are also stationed there in case you forget. I would see them clean the banisters and before boarding every port they'd give you wet towels to wash your hands with... I found it amazing how everybody in the staff worked so hard to keep everything in order, clean and go out of their way to make your vacation fun... I just recall one bad experience at the photo shop, not sure what happened when a sales person snapped and there was a real heated argument, it looked like it was going to turn into a FIGHT. It seems this customer offended him in a personal way. I saw the customer and it looked like he had too much too to drink, it's sometimes understandable when things like this happen, they're trying so much to please the customer and truthfully sometimes the customer is NOT always right and it's only human to sometimes reach a boiling point.
