Sail Date: Nov 2016

We had only been on one cruise prior to this, and wanted to move up a notch from it (Carnival). Instead, found RC to be about the same. Ship was not bad; service was outstanding in terms of dedicated individuals. Our waiters and the wonderful lady who took care of our room could not have been better. Others were ok, although people trying to sell you things were very pushy; so much so it took away from the enjoyment of the cruise.

Embarkment: took HOURS. Never told us why.

Food: I'm not that picky, and I thought it was very good. Lots of options, including some odd but tasty international choices at the buffet. Only time we agreed to upcharge was at Johnny Rockets--probably the worst meal on board. The burger had hunks of fat in them, and the fries were cold. Dinner was one of our favorite times on the ship. Decent variety and the quality of the wait staff was unbeatable. Kudos!

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

Took a private tour of the island with ShoreTrips. Highly recommend.

San Juan

Loved Old San Juan. Primary street lots of hawkers, but otherwise, an amazing place.

Labadee

It was ok, and the provided lunch was great. Otherwise, what you would expect from an enclosure.

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

We did not take a tour, so pretty limited to a small shopping area. It was ok.

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Lauderdale area is our favorite part of Florida. Eat at Rustic Inn if you get a chance, and for the ultimate in tacky Tiki, head north on 1 to Mai Kai.
