Embarkation was a nightmare. I arrived at 11am to ensure I wasn't late for my scheduled time to board the ship at 1pm. I didn't board the ship until after 5pm! the service from some of the bar staff was not good. Some were rude and annoyed at guests for even requesting drinks. Wait staff in the Golden Pearl Dining room during my dinner time were nice, friendly, and very accommodating but they still needed a lot of training on proper serving procedures. The Spa staff were phenomenal, my massage that I received was outstanding and the Fitness Center was great. My only complaint was not being able to use the studio if you wanted to do your own exercise workout. Entertainment was almost non-existent, all dance clubs were either not open or closed by 12am. There were shows to watch but the Comedy club was awesome! Shore excursions were also Great!! I had more fun off the ship than on to be quite honest. Disembarkation was one of the fastest and smoothest processes of the whole cruise. I don't think I would go on this ship again, in my opinion, it was geared more to an elderly crowd which was obvious of all the scooters parked in the hallway of my cabin. Not much to do for people under 45 unless you want to spend a good majority of your time gambling or shopping in the ship.
My steward was very nice and accommodating. He was very good with his attention to detail and making sure that my room was spotless. He always greeted me by name when he saw me and made sure that I was satisfied with the service. I was a little disappointed the first 3 days of my cruise because I didn't find the signature towel art in my cabin but the rest of the days of my cruise I found a new creation.
I Loved Cozumel! the people, the shopping, the food all was great!
We rented a car to drive around the island and found a beautiful beach to spend the day swimming, jet skiing, parasailing, and eating. the only down side was all the beach vendors, they bombarded you at every turn when you were on the beach trying to relax and enjoy the sun.
Calico Jack's Bar and Grill at Sea Grape Beach was AWESOME!!!
This is my hometown, so of course I love Miami.
