Let me start by saying we have been on 8 cruises so far. We mostly cruise on Carnival but have gone on Royal Caribbean a couple of times. Our last cruise on Carnival was over three years ago and we just came back from sailing on Carnival Glory over Thanksgiving week. We left out of Miami to the Western Caribbean for 7 nights.

The EMBARKATION was a total mess. I do not ever remember having to wait outside the terminal in the heat to wait for a boarding number to be called. If you are early you will not be allowed to go inside, but if you are late you will be ushered to the front of the line. Yes, there were regular cruisers who knew this and took advantage of it, and Carnival allowed it to happen.

The SHIP was dark, old and dated. The interior CABIN was smaller than those on other ships we've been on. The carpet was filthy (our feet were black after walking on it), our lamp shades were broken, and there is no longer a basket of sample toiletries in the bathroom.

The room was old and dingy with broken lamps and dirty carpet.
