This review is on the cruise itself and not the ports. I have been on many cruises and this was the worst ever. We know that princess caters to the older crowd but with 4 days at sea on Thanksgiving week you would think that there would be one activity by the pool for those of us not in retirement age? Nope, It was very obvious that they did this to discourage people from being at the pool and so they would be inside spending money on the stores, casino and art auction. There was no music at the pools and they were intentionally not heated for this purpose. When you walked around the ship the only lively venues were the casino and art auction. They push the shopping so much it was part of the variety show. The variety show was a music number, the shopping director and a bad comedian making racist jokes about Filipino cabin stewards. I have never seen such a thing. No music is playing at any of the bars, crazy.

Our room steward wouldn't come half the time when paged and when he did he always reminded us that his shift was ending soon. Not good.

We also had poor service in the restaurants, getting cut by guest because they spoke the same language as the head waiter. When my husband spoke up the hostess acted guilty and scrambled to get us a table. I spoke to the guest services and went up three levels of management and all I received was a cheap bottle of wine that I had to approve before receiving, if I didn't they weren't even going to send that!! If you have a problem with a guest send up a bottle of champagne ASAP. So incredibly tacky. I felt like my intelligence was insulted multiple times and was shown that they don't value my business.
