We arrived at Fort Lauderdale 2 days before departing for our cruise. We enjoyed the beautiful long sandy beach and took a trip with 'Alligator Al' to the Everglades Holiday Park. We went on an hour's air boat ride, saw alligators and some unusual birds. It was very entertaining and informative. The day finished with a short show around the alligator pit.

Our embarkation process was not the best start to the cruise and was the only thing I could fault. We queued for 3 1/2 hours in the heat along with most of the other 3600 passengers. We were given bottles of water to drink from the staff and never really got an explanation as to what had gone so wrong.

I was totally in awe of the ship, it's sheer size, the beautiful décor everywhere and how well organised everything was. The food was fantastic. We ate breakfast and lunch at Windjammers and dinner at Gallilea. Our waiters were attentive, knowledgeable and provided great service. (Rasit Karagoz and Kamel Jabrallah in Gallilea and Lin who attended to us so efficiently in Windjammers)
