I had low expectations based on reading many reviews and the price tag for the cruise we took. All in all we had a lot of fun but there were things lacking. You get what you pay for.

I was pleasantly surprised by the rooms. We had two ocean view staterooms on deck 6 for two adults and two kids. The rooms were not fancy, spacious, or special but definitely served their purpose. The room attendant was fantastic and thoughtful though. He based his towel animals on passing conversations he had with the kids which was really sweet. Service in the main dining room was also good but outside of the room attendant and main dining room, I found service on the rest of the ship to be quite lacking. The first day on ship we started at the Windjammer for lunch after buying the Coke refillable cups for the drink package. (Unless you are a serious soda addict don't buy the drink package. It was not worth the cost at all) Not one server approached us to serve drinks at all during that lunch (or any after!) and it took until the next day to find out from someone that you can get all the coke soda flavors self serve from the coke machine on the 12th floor. Up until then I would go to a bar and get it filled for the kids with only a choice of coke diet coke or sprite. In fact, with the exception of the main dining room, and one morning at the windjammer where a server went around with a tray of orange juice, I was not offered a drink- alcohol or non- the entire cruise.

We did the stingray city excursion at coco cay and I give that 5 stars. It was amazing and fun and reasonably priced. We were given plenty of time to interact with the stingrays, feed them, ask questions, and snorkel around. The guides were knowledgeable, patient, and wonderful with the kids. I can't say enough about that excursion. I would do it over and over and over again.
